The WIC serves as both the state and local area workforce investment board under the Workforce Investment Act and is responsible for advising the Mayor, Council, and the District government on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an integrated and effective workforce investment system.

Supportive Services for DC residents 18 and over who work in any construction industry (laborer, electrician, painter, etc.) and are either an apprentice, pre-apprentice, step-up apprentice OR they work in construction and make AT LEAST the DC Living Wage (13.85/hr).
